Year 7 students will start at the Academy on Friday 2nd September 2022. The rest of the students will not return until Monday 5th September 2022, giving the new students a chance to settle in. The first day will run from 8.15am-1.35pm, finishing slightly earlier than our normal timing to allow for some additional staff training. Students will be taught about our 5 Active Citizenship characteristics; Confidence, Curiosity, Respect, Resilience and Ambition. They will be given their full daily timetable for the next week and will spend time with their Student Champions (Form Tutors).
Students need to be on-site by 8.15am in full school uniform. We will provide them with a lunch on day one, thereafter they will be able to use their individual accounts which you can top-up via Parent Pay (full details to follow soon). However, you may want to provide them with snacks or a packed lunch if they are unsure about school canteen food. Please also provide plenty of drinking water, especially if the weather remains as beautiful as it has been.
From Monday 5th September 2022 the normal school day will commence: Monday-Thursday 8.15-3.05pm and Friday 8.15-2.20pm.
