Dates to remember this Autumn

I would like to remind you of some important dates next term.

The students’ last day in this half term is Friday 20 October 2017.  They will be dismissed at the normal time of 15:00

The half term holiday runs for two weeks and we return to the Academy at 08:10 on Monday 6 November 2017.

Please make a note of the following dates in your diaries:

Monday 6 November Start of Term 1b for students
Tuesday 14 November Year 7 Parent's Evening. Academy closes at 14:15
Thursday 16 November Post 16 Open Evening.  Academy closes at 14:15
Thursday 23 November Renaissance Day
Friday 24 November The Acdaemy opens at 09:00 for all students
Wednesday 20 December Last day of term 1b for all students
Tuesday 2 January 2018 Start of term 2a for all students

Please be aware that in order to prepare for the Year 7 Parents’ Evening on Tuesday 14 November 2017 all students will be dismissed from the Academy at 14:15.  Year 7 students will be making specific appointments for their parents to meet their subject teachers.  Appointment times will be between 15:30 and 18:30 so please remind your son/ward to make the appointments on their appointments sheets and then to give these to you prior to the evening so that you know who you will be seeing and at what time.

Parents’ Evening is your chance to come and discuss your son’s/ward’s progress and any other issues that you may have so we urge ALL parents to attend on the appropriate day.  You are of course welcome to contact members of staff at any time.  We do encourage communication by email and details of our staff and their email addresses are all on our website at

Can I take this opportunity to stress that it is vital we hold up to date contact numbers and email addresses for our students so if you have changed your number/email address please contact the Academy on 0208 299 5300 or to let us know.  Can I also remind you of the importance of us having full and correct details of any medical issues that affect our students.

As always, if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact the Academy.

Peter Groves, Head of Academy.
