What Ofsted Says

Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich was rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted inspectors following their visit in November 2023.

Inspectors were impressed by the breadth and quality of our curriculum programme, our provision and, importantly, our students’ behaviour. 

This judgement would not have been possible without our excellent team of staff who work tirelessly to provide our students with the very best learning opportunities. On our excellent standards of teaching and learning

• The school has a broad and purposeful curriculum.
• Outcomes are high, as shown through GCSE results.
• Teachers know their pupils’ needs well and how to adjust their teaching to meet individual needs
• Teachers are passionate experts in their subjects.
• Pupils with SEND achieve exceptionally well.

On our welcoming, inclusive and safe community

• Pupils are proud of their school and feel safe and cared for.
• The school teaches pupils to respect each other’s backgrounds and culture.

On our exceptional students

• Pupils are happy and treat each other kindly.
• Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary. They do not tolerate bullying or disrespect for others.
• Pupils understand the importance of coming to school and as a result attendance is high.
• Pupils seize opportunities to extend themselves and do so with maturity.
