School Meals & Menu

Our menu has been created after extensive research into student preferences, but is also nutritious and compliant with all government guidelines. 

Our catering service is provided by Innovate IFG, part of the Impact Food Group. Innovate is a well-established and experienced school caterer. The service is provided under contract with Harris Federation.

Menus and price lists

The menu aims to offer more of what students want, including good food that can be eaten on the go.

The academy uses a cashless catering system for food and drink purchases. Please see our ParentPay page for details.

Free school meals - how to apply

Your child may be entitled to free school meals. Even if your child does not wish to eat free school meals, but is entitled to them, it's worth applying. This is because for each child entitled to free school meals the Academy could receive funding to help with tuition, resources, coaching and extra assistance. The meal value is £2.84. Find out if your child is entitled to free school meals.

From September 2026, there will be two categories of eligibility for free school meals:

1 - Targeted Free School Meals. Your child may be eligible if you receive:

  • Universal Credit and have an annual household income of £7,400 or less
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit

Your child might also qualify if you have no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

Pupils receiving targeted Free School Meals:

  • Can receive free school meals
  • Will attract pupil premium funding for the school
  • May be eligible for other support, such as the Holiday Activities and Food programme:

2 - Expanded Free School Meals – your child is eligible if you receive:

  • Universal Credit and have an annual household income of over £7,400

Pupils receiving Expanded Free School Meals

  • Can receive free school meals
  • Will not attract pupil premium funding for the school, nor be eligible for other support that’s based on targeted FSM

Children in the Expanded category will be entitled to free school meals only. This means they will not be eligible for pupil premium. Any family that believes they will be eligible under the new expanded criteria must submit an application form to have their eligibility checked.

With these new changes, applying for Free School Meals will now be done annually.

Breakfast Club

Our free Breakfast Club is every morning during school days, from 8am until 8.30am.

Allergies

If a student has any food allergies or intolerances, students must inform the academy Medical Lead and the Catering Manager, who can provide further information. Food allergen information is labelled in BOLD on all pre-packaged food. Allergen information on all other food products is available from the catering team on request.
