Our Approach to Homework
The homework we set at Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich plays a key role in helping students reinforce what they learn in school, build good study habits and develop responsibility.
Homework gives students the chance to practice new skills, explore topics in more depth and grow more confident in their learning.
When children complete homework regularly, they’re better prepared for classroom discussions and assessments, and they learn how to manage their time and stay organised - important life skills that go beyond the classroom.
We set homework regularly and expect it to be completed to a good standard on time. You can read more about how we set homework on our Support with Homework page.
Remote learning
If your child needs to study from home in exceptional circumstances, we have clear procedures in place to ensure their learning continues with minimal disruption.
Drawing on our extensive experience with remote education, we know how to make it effective and engaging for students. Should the need arise, we’ll ensure that both you and your child receive the support and resources necessary to make learning from home a success.
