Year 9 Sweep Aside Harris Academy Peckham - Match Report by Harrison
Harrison, Year 8, reports on a dominant display by the Year 9 football team, as they swept Harris Academy Peckham aside with a commanding victory.
As the game commenced, Harris Dulwich Boys dominance quickly became clear. Valentino stood strong between the sticks, supported by a solid backline of Yahya, Jay’Vaun, Tylan and Suleman. In midfield were the maestros Eman, Amari and Tobs, with a terrific front three of Junior leading the line, alongside Bailey and Harrison on the flanks.
Minutes later, the boys got what they deserved – a breakthrough. After a delightful cross into the box, Junior was there to slot it away after a shot rebounded off the keeper.
In the blink of an eye, he struck again, using his strength to win the ball off a defender before calmly stroking the ball into the back of the net.
Soon after Eman switched the play brilliantly, setting Bailey free to use his silky skills to beat his defender before threading the ball into the corner to make it three. Just before half-time, the boys grabbed a fourth, with Harrison skipping past a defender and placing the ball into the corner, for his first of four goals.
The second half begun like the first with Harris Dulwich Boys being dominant. The goals carried on flying in, with Harrison grabbing another three, Junior completing his hat trick, and on his debut, Posi with an electric dribble and thunderous finish.
Overall, it was a great performance, with Harrison taking the MOTM award for his incredible display on the wing.
