Harris Boys Victorious at Crystal Palace FC’s Training Ground Yet Again!
HBAED were lucky enough to have two combined Year 9/10 teams entered into the competition which took place at Crystal Palace’s Football Club’s academy training ground.
This was just over a week since the Year 10s won the football Harris Cup and the Year 8s finished second in their year. This 7-a-side tournament was a great chance to combine year groups, meet other local players and speak to leading football experts about the game our boys love.

In the group stages our boys combined for five wins out of six and both teams advanced to the semi-finals. Both teams then advanced from their respective semi-finals with clean sheets and plenty of goals shared around.
That left the final to be HBAED vs HBAED. This game had all the competitiveness and physicality you would expect when our boys play against their peers. With Nathan’s team 1-0 down with just 30 seconds to play they managed to draw back level…only for Archie to hit a thunderbolt from kick off to seal the victory for Natan’s team!
Also for the second week in a row it was commented on how polite, respectful and approachable our students were which is always great to hear.
These opportunities are always so important to our young boys so thank you to Crystal Palace FC for the invite as always.
