Congratulations to our KS3 STEP Youth Theatre Cast
A huge congratulations to our KS3 students who represented Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich at this year's Southwark Youth Theatre Project (STEP) showcase at Theatre Peckham on Thursday 2nd July.
Our students performed alongside four other schools and were an absolute credit to the academy. Throughout the evening they demonstrated confidence, professionalism and exceptional teamwork, delivering a performance they should all be incredibly proud of.
Over the course of eight weeks, students worked tirelessly during Drama Club rehearsals to devise and rehearse their own original play, Reminiscence.
The production followed the life of Daniel Tyrell-Works, exploring how the choices we make in our younger years can have lasting consequences, whilst highlighting themes of reflection, responsibility, friendship and hope. The students developed the script collaboratively, taking ownership of their ideas and bringing the story to life with maturity and creativity.
