Year 10 Progress To The Quarter Finals Of Harris Cup After Convincing Victory

Year 10 Progress To The Quarter Finals Of Harris Cup After Convincing Victory

On Thursday 29th January, Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich delivered an excellent all-round performance in a convincing 4–0 home victory over Harris Academy Beckenham in their Year 10 football Harris Cup.

From the first whistle, East Dulwich showed strong intent, controlling possession and setting the tempo with confident passing and disciplined shape. The early pressure paid off when Jahmarni opened the scoring with a composed finish after a well-worked attacking move, giving the team a deserved lead.

The midfield worked tirelessly to win second balls and maintain pressure, allowing HBAED to sustain attacks. Nathan doubled the advantage before half-time, reacting quickest in the box to convert from close range and reward the team’s persistent attacking play.

Defensive organisation limited Beckenham to very few clear chances, while quick transitions created further opportunities going forward. Abdul extended the lead with a confident strike, effectively putting the game beyond reach.

In the second half, East Dulwich continued to dominate both physically and tactically. The performance was capped off by Amin, who added the fourth goal late in the game following another well-constructed team move, reflecting the collective effort and teamwork shown throughout the match.

Overall, it was a disciplined, energetic, and mature performance from the East Dulwich side, demonstrating excellent teamwork, communication, and attacking intent while remaining solid defensively to secure a clean sheet. A strong result and performance to be proud of from the year 10 team, well done boys!
