Cricket Bursaries Enjoy Fantastic Start to Year
The cricket bursary has enjoyed a fantastic start to the year, with sessions full of energy, progress, and enthusiasm.
Our weekly Cricket Club has been extremely well attended, averaging around 20 students each week. We are fortunate to work in partnership with the ACE Cricket Programme, and we are delighted to have Mr Davis (pictured here) supporting our sessions alongside Mr Edwards.
This term, students have been developing the core fundamentals of cricket — from bowling technique and fielding positions to learning how to find gaps when batting. With several indoor tournaments planned across London, it promises to be an exciting term of cricket at HBAED.
In addition to the Thursday bursary sessions, many of our students have also been attending evening training delivered by 360 Cricket. Through our partnership with 360 Cricket, bursary students can access their indoor evening courses free of charge, as well as their holiday cricket camps. For more information, please visit www.360cricket.co.uk or email info@360cricket.co.uk.
Looking ahead to Term 2, the focus will shift towards hardball cricket as we prepare for competitive fixtures against other schools. Students will take part in hardball net sessions both on-site and at Peckham Rye Park.
If you have any questions about our cricket bursaries, please contact Mr Edwards at l.edwards@harrisdulwichboys.org.uk.
