Welcome to our New Head Student Librarian

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Remington (Remi) of Year 10 as HBAED’s new Head Student Librarian.

Remi (pictured below) showed outstanding commitment, energy, and willingness in his role, throughout the whole of Year 9, and I’m thrilled to see him take on this well-deserved position.

Alongside Remi’s appointment, we’re also celebrating the promotion of six dedicated students to the role of Senior Student Librarian - Shakeel, Reuben, Uzair, William, Dawit and Aitzaz. Their hard work and reliability have made a real difference to the smooth running of our library, and we’re proud to recognise their contributions.

The team now includes 24 student librarians from Years 8 to 10, all of whom play a vital role in supporting the library’s day-to-day operations.

Being a student librarian offers a range of benefits — from developing organisational and communication skills to building confidence and teamwork. It’s a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the school community while gaining valuable experience.

Congratulations to Remi and our new Senior Student Librarians!
