HBAED in Top 10% Nationally for Student Attainment
The national results for GCSE attainment at all schools nationally was published last week and we were delighted to be in the Top 10% for student attainment. Attainment is the raw score that a student achieves in their exams, regardless of the prior attainment in Primary school.
At Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich our students achieved their highest ever attainment score of 55.45, meaning the average grade a student achieved was a 5.5. We were not only in the Top 10% overall, but we were also in the Top 10% for disadvantaged students' attainment 8. This includes those students who receive free school meals.
Results are broken down into different pots, and in the 'Open Pot' or the options subjects including for example GCSE Music, GCSE Drama, GCSE Art and Design and GCSE Computer Science the school was in the top 5% nationally for attainment.
We are so proud of the achievements of our students lest year and hope we continue to defy the odds and help boys to outperform girls, disadvantaged students to not fall behind their peers and to champion and for students to thrive in the creative arts subjects. Well done to all staff and students!
