'Staying Safe' Day for Year 9
We welcomed visitors to a special morning recently to help Year 9 focus on their PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) education.
The focus of the day was around staying safe and students attended a series of fascinating workshops that helped boost their understanding of some important issues.
The Police led a session on exploitation, what it looks like and how people become involved. A charity called Change Grow Live led a session on drugs with a specific focus on vapes, to help students understand the dangers and bust some myths around their use.
And St John's Ambulance led a session on street First Aid to teach students about some basic techniques that they could use in the real world.

It was an interesting, thought-provoking and important day which students have taken a huge amount from.
