A Snowman Family Comes to Life in the Library
This week, our library was filled with creativity and festive cheer as students in Years 7 and 8 took part in a special lunchtime activity: making sock puppet snowmen!
The session was kindly funded and led by parent volunteer Mrs Boghurst, whose generosity and enthusiasm made this wonderful opportunity possible.

Twenty boys joined in across the week, transforming simple socks into a delightful collection of snowmen – each with its own unique personality. From football scarves to the unmistakable South East London balaclava vibe, the variety of styles was impressive and full of character.
Every snowman’s expression tells a story, and together they’ve created a charming new ‘snowman family’ that is now bringing joy to students and staff alike.

Our school librarian, Mrs Edwards, shared her excitement: "It’s been such a pleasure to see the boys’ creativity shine. The library has never looked more festive, and these snowmen are guaranteed to make everyone smile!"
A huge thank you to Mrs Boghurst for her support and to all the students who took part. What a wonderful way to celebrate the season!
