Parent Voice

Get involved with Parent Voice and have your say!

Would you like to help shape the future of Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich and be part of a supportive parent community? Join Parent Voice – our parent-led forum where your opinions and ideas matter.

Parent Voice gives you the opportunity to meet regularly with senior Academy staff to talk about what really matters – from student wellbeing and curriculum choices to the future direction of the school. It’s a space where you can ask questions, raise concerns, and work in partnership with the Academy to support all our boys.

What makes Parent Voice special?

  • HBAED Sport 002It’s run entirely by parents – you set the agenda.
  • Senior staff attend to listen, provide updates, and answer your questions.
  • Parent governors also join, helping bridge the conversation between parents and school leadership.
  • Discussions focus on whole-school topics (not individual students or staff), making it relevant to everyone.

Here are some recent topics we’ve covered.

  • Lunchtime arrangements – changes were made after feedback from parents and staff.
  • Encouraging reading – ideas for how parents can support boys’ engagement with books.
  • E-safety – how the school helps keep students safe online, and what parents can do at home.
  • Study skills and exam prep – how the Academy supports students and how parents can help.
  • Sixth form transition – what’s in place to help students take their next steps.
  • Social events – building a sense of community and supporting school-led initiatives

Parent Voice also helps organise social events, and we’re always looking for friendly faces to get involved. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you!

Just a reminder – this is a general forum for school-wide issues, not individual cases or personal matters. We hope to see you soon!
