Transition 2020 - Starting Year 7
Welcome to the Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich transition page. On this page you'll find lots of helpful resources to help you make the transition from your primary school to HBAED.
Most of you will already have visited us before, but perhaps you can't remember too much about the school or what it looked like. Don't worry! On this page we're going to add lots of useful information about the school to help you feel at home when you join us in September. We're really looking forward to seeing you again!
Why not read what a few of our Year 7 boys last year had to say about settling in at our school.
During the next few months you will be going on an exciting journey; finding out more about HBAED and about yourself too, and making the transition from your primary school to secondary school.
Mr Groves, Principal
Re-opening for Year 7 on 4th September
Please note the academy will re-open for Year 7 students on 4th September. Please arrive between 8.15am and 8.30 am at the student gate on Peckham Rye. School will end at 2.45pm.
Parent and carers...
Please see our special section for parents and carers, which will hopefully provide you with information about uniform and other useful tips to help you and your son make a successful transition to HBAED.
Your subjects... NEW!
For the last two weeks of the holidays, let's have a look at some of the subjects you'll be studying in Year 7, starting with Science!
You'll also find your first task as a Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich student!

Your wellbeing and welfare
Now that you've had a chance to be welcomed and had a look at our school building, it is time to look at the heart of our school - how we look after your wellbeing and your welfare. Meet Ms Watson, Student Welfare Manager, and our four Behaviour Learning Leaders.
