HBAED Students Celebrate Record-Breaking GCSE Results
Students at Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich are celebrating achieving the Academy’s best-ever results this morning.
Overall, students gained a total of 276 top Grade 9s and Grade 8s across their subjects with some particularly impressive results in Physics, Chemistry, History and English. Our provisional Progress 8 score of 0.99 means we are likely to be in the top 1-2% of schools nationally for student progress.
The results show that students have made remarkable progress since joining the Academy. Top-performing students include:
- Stanley, who achieved an incredible nine Grade 9s and two Grade 8s;
- Lucas, who achieved six Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and one Grade 7.

“I am so proud of all the students collecting their GCSE results today," said Chris Brett, Principal of Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich, which was judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted earlier this year. "They have been a great group to work with and have shown real dedication to their studies.
"Not only have they achieved great outcomes but they have developed into responsible, articulate and confident young adults who are keen to make a positive contribution to our local community. I know they will go on to achieve some outstanding things in the future as leaders and I look forward to welcoming many of them to our Sixth Form.
“Thank you to our fantastic staff for supporting and guiding our students as well as our parents and carers who play such an active role in their child’s education. We are only able to celebrate today thanks to the hard work and commitment of our entire Academy community.”
