Football - HBAED 7 Harris Peckham 2

Football 25.11.15The Year 10 boys put on an outstanding display in the local derby vs Harris Peckham last night.

The boys were straight on Harris Peckham with Nathan bullying their defence for his first of five goals. John and Mukhtar, having been called up from the Year 9 team came on looking very nervous at 1 – 0 up.

Mukhtar took a confident touch, sprayed the ball out to Dennis, who played a lovely long ball that John flicked on for Nathan to bag his second. Immediate impact from the Year 9 boys.

Shamar gave their defence a tough time, giving Nathan the opportunity to run riot at their defence. Josh also put in a notable strike from the halfway line, lobbing their goalkeeper.

Gibril then came on, stepping up from Year 9 in centre midfield. After being welcomed to the game with a thumping tackle he then showed his physical strength dominating the game in the middle of the park with excellent physical presence. The boys showed incredible maturity especially Marco and Dennis, offering excellent distribution from the back and offering some solid challenges.

Tom also stepped up to the Year 10 team after some time out, he offered a solid platform in front of the back three, running the game with some excellent passes to set us on the counter attack.

A special mention must go to Josh and Ernest after Josh put in a delightful ball from the right, which Ernest hit into the top corner on the half volley, this was unfortunately disallowed after a dodgy offside decision by Mr May.
