Different Pathways to Becoming a Lawyer

We were delighted to welcome Robert Powell and Ali Fazeli-Nia from Paul Weiss (international law firm), who visited our school earlier this term.

Ali and Robert provided an overview of their law firm, including the types of transactions and advisory work that they have been involved in, and their international network of offices.

They also outlined different pathways to becoming a lawyer and described the wide range of different jobs (beyond being a lawyer) that are available at the firm, and provided advice and tips on key skills that law firms look for.

As part of our Personal Development and Careers programme, we regularly invite external speakers to deliver assemblies and workshops. A huge thank you to Robert and Ali for delivering such an engaging and inspiring assembly.
