HBAED Celebrates Outstanding GCSE Outcomes
Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich is celebrating a significant academic achievement as we are estimating an impressive Attainment 8 score of 56.09.
This places the school well above the national average and is the highest-ever attainment 8 score at the school, highlighting our continued commitment to academic excellence.
Attainment 8 measures the average achievement of students across eight key subjects, including English and Maths. This year it has replaced Progress 8 as students did not complete KS2 SATS and it does not therefore take into account prior attainment.
A score of 56.09 not only reflects high performance across all of our subjects, but also reinforces the Academy’s reputation as one of the top-performing boys’ schools in the country.

Students performed exceptionally well in the rigorous English Baccalaureate subjects, smashing national average outcomes for English, Spanish, History, Geography, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
"I am really proud of the students for their hard work and resilience," said Mr Brett. "They’ve shown what can be achieved with hard work and a commitment to learning, and I couldn’t be prouder.
"Our wonderful staff have gone above and beyond to support every young person to reach their potential, and the quality of teaching and learning at the school just shines through in these outcomes."
The latest figures continue the academy's consistently outstanding performance in GCSEs. "I am not just proud of the outcomes, but the young men that the students have become," added Mr Brett. "They embody our active citizens traits of confidence, curiosity, resilience, respect and ambition."
