Auditions For 'The School of Rock' - Next School Show

Auditions 3After the success of The Wiz, we have been eager to embark on our next show. There has been much anticipation as to what the next show will be, and we are excited to announce that HBAED’s next show will be School of Rock.

We will be running auditions on Wednesday 14th September. Auditions will take place from 3:15pm for KS3/KS5 and from 4pm for KS4. These will take place in the Music Room (1.49.)

Click HERE to sign up for the auditions.

What to prepare? Students who wish to audition for a part will be given a script to perform. Please collect your script from Ms Okai from the 2nd September. If you want to audition for a main role, please ensure that you have learnt the first two verses and chorus to When I Climb to the top of Mount Rock (lyrics below).

Want to be involved behind the scenes? For those wanting to be involved with stage/lighting/sound/set etc, please use the form (link above) to show your interest and the Performing Arts team will be in touch after rehearsals have started.

Students who are successful will be given a letter with more information as to the rehearsal schedule.

We look forward to seeing all the auditionees!

When I climb to the top of Mount Rock - lyrics

I'll be blowin' out amps, playin stadium shows
On a sold out galactic tour!
And I'll blister the ears of the first thousand rows
And leave while they beg for more!
Then I'll pop the champagne and the party will rage
No brown M&M's in my green room backstage
Bigger than Hendrix, and Clapton, and Page!
And the rest
The all time best!
When I climb to the top of Mount Rock
And I'm perched at the upper-most peak
With a leigon of groupies all dukin' it out
For my chiselled rock god physique
And I'll scatter hit singles all
Over the land with my 12 Grammys in hand
Watch the fan-boys all flock!
At the top of Mount Rock
